The highly anticipated Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino, the first in Las Vegas to offer an authentic Asian gaming, dining and lifestyle experience, held a soft opening in late November and commemorated the milestone with a Grand Opening Celebration back on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino is Las Vegas’ first casino resort designed from the ground up to create an authentic Asian cultural and gaming experience. Features of the property include a nine-story hotel with 203 rooms, of which 22 are suites; 27,500 square feet of casino space with an emphasis on table games, including baccarat and Pai Gow as well as slots, a high limit gaming area known as the Emerald Room and a luxurious VIP gaming parlor; a pool designed to create an oasis garden escape for hotel guests; a spa with four treatment rooms including reflexology; an indoor-outdoor Tea Garden featuring an extensive list of tea curated by Las Vegas’ only tea sommelier; five Asian-inspired restaurant concepts; and staff and signage to accommodate guests from throughout Asia as well as English-speaking guests.

At the heart of Lucky Dragon’s authenticity lies its food and beverage program. From the variety offered by the property’s five restaurant concepts, to the extensive collection of Chinese teas, Lucky Dragon will be the city’s center for Asian cuisine. Jewel Kitchen will be the heartbeat of Lucky Dragon’s dining scene. Encapsulated by windows offering casino guests a panoramic view of the culinary masters in action, it will be Las Vegas’ only show kitchen that extends directly onto the casino floor.

The 27,500 square-foot casino floor accommodates 37 tables and 287 slot machines. The majority of table games will focus on those popular in Asia, offering primarily baccarat and Pai Gow, though roulette, blackjack, Three-Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em will also be available. Two high-end gaming areas – The Emerald Room high-limit gaming area on the ground floor and the ultra-luxurious, second-story VIP Gaming Lounge – will serve the casino’s major players, offering gaming in an intimate environment surrounded by high-end décor, designed to bring luck and good fortune.

The Dragon’s Club (player’s club) is a three-tiered program. Three dollars coin-in on most games equals one point and 100 points equal $1 in comps or free play. Points can be used for food, hotel, spa, beverages or free play. Free play can be redeemed directly at a slot machine or at the Dragon Club. New members joining the club are guaranteed a bonus from $8 up to $888. The three tier levels are Red (entry level), Platinum, and Black, the top tier. Platinum- and Black-level players need to re-earn their status every six months to keep it for an additional six months. Table game players earn at a similar pace to slots and points can be used the same as slots.

Tier benefits include VIP parking, upgrades on rooms, special invites to events, tournaments, gift days and more. There are various discounts at every tier level. The Dragon’s Club can provide further details. Currently, through December, players can earn 5X points on slots Monday through Thursday.

On New Year’s Eve, guests can ring in the New Year with karaoke, gaming promotions, a midnight champagne and cognac toast, an incredible view of the fireworks on the Las Vegas Strip, and all-you-can-eat and drink specials at Dragon’s Alley.

Earn 2,017 points on Dec. 31 and get $100 free play to use between Jan. 1 and 21. At 8 p.m., Dragon’s Alley’s all-you-can-eat and drink specials begin. From 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Dragon’s Alley will host karaoke.

From 11:45 p.m. to 12:15 a.m., Dragon Club members can enjoy an up-close view of the Stratosphere’s fireworks show and a free midnight champagne toast atop the parking garage. Guests can also enjoy all the dim sum, noodles and desserts they can eat for $25 at Lucky Dragon’s night market-inspired Dragon’s Alley, and all the Tsing Tao beer they can drink for an additional $5.
