Ohio to keep main casino gambling floors smoke-free

Ohio casinos to install slots in designated smoking areas An Ohio ban on smoking on the casino floor may push smokers to other areas of the casino that are now being evaluated for slot machines.

Officials revealed last week casinos in Cincinnati, Columbus and Toledo want to install slot machines in designated smoking area while keeping their main gambling floors smoke-free.

Actually, Ohio’s casino smoking ban is seen by many as a boon for the three licensed riverboat casinos in southeast Indiana where smoking is allowed.

The Ohio Casino Control Commission said they are reviewing the casinos’ proposals and will approve them if they meet certain requirements.
