Harrah's Online Casino launches gambling mobile App

July 29, 2014 10:13 AM by David Cash

Harrah's Online Casino launches gambling mobile App Harrah’s Online Casino has officially released the latest version of their quality casino game software on May 1st, 2014. The HarrahsCasino.com mobile App for the iPhone and iPad allows players to choose from free games and real money games. Available only in New Jersey which allows online gambling, the real-money download is free, and available via iTunes, at the App Store, and at HarrahsCasino.com. Harrah’s Online Casino uses geolocation software to verify that players are located within the desired states, as well as an identity-confirmation system to assure that registered players are of legal age. This, coupled with the measures taken to ensure privacy and secure financial transactions, allows players to gamble in the “next generation” world of mobile gaming. See the Terms & Conditions of Play and additional T&C for mobile at Mobile Location Verification Terms & Conditions.

Experts predict that mobile device use will continue to increase exponentially, as iPad use increases in personal venues, classrooms, and businesses. For the online casino industry, this means increased players and revenue. For Harrah’s Online Casino, this is expected to lead to a boom in their online gambling retinue, as well as an influx of additional players to the over-50-million members of the Total Rewards® customer loyalty program. Access to the rewards program, as well as links to other customer service needs, comes with the new application download, available via WiFi or Mobile data. Players can touch-tap to access the latest Playlist Promotion.

The download takes less than 30 seconds on an iPad II running a mid-range internet service, and is virtually instantaneous on newer models with faster tbps rates. The version has nine games on the main page. The games include Classic Blackjack, City Life slots, Casino Reels progressive slots, Freaky Fruit, and Knights and Maidens. In the upper right-hand corner of the app, players can access the login page, registration page, and help topics. Harrahscasino.com regularly adds new games to the app, as well as special bonuses and promotions for its mobile players.

This is not the first time the Harrah’s-affiliated entertainment group has been at the head of the industry pack. In 2010, Caesars released the first iPhone app with a GPS locator which activated when players were on one of the many participating properties, sending text messages related to nearby showrooms, restaurants, casinos, and other attractions. Guests had immediate access to information on what was happening in the vicinity, as well as special promotions and invitations, tailored to their location. “If you’re at Paris, we could send you two free admissions to the Eiffel Tower ride or if you’re at Caesars Palace after 6 p.m., we could send you an offer for the Bette Midler show,” said Neal Narayani, former director of e-mail and mobile marketing for Harrah’s during 2008-2011. “We might have some additional show tickets left over, so knowing where the customer is a great way to get those tickets pushed.”

The real-money casino app for iPad and iPhone is the latest of many high-tech innovations from Harrah’s Online Casino. Many in the mobile industry claim that more games are played – and more money spent – on Apple mobile devices than on any other.

The move to a mobile application was an obvious one for Harrah’s Online Casino, which is dedicated to allowing its customers to play their famous land casino games from anywhere. The brick casino may be in Atlantic City, but loyal players can play their favorite games, and add to their loyalty program points, from the privacy of their homes or on the go. Gaming experts believe that mobile Apps will change the way America gambles, with more states applying for online casino licenses each year. Although only three states are currently licensed to run online casinos, the ability of gamers to play slots and blackjack from mobile devices – coupled with the ability of the geolocator to track the location of those devices – may be the catalyst which causes more states to allow mobile gambling. After all, a player travelling from Las Vegas to Atlantic City will pass through a number of states, each of which could claim a piece of the tax revenue pie.

In the meantime, residents of New Jersey can download the free Harrah’s Online Casino App, join the Total Rewards® program, and register to play a number of real-money casino games, including reel slots, blackjack, and roulette.
