Steve Tight, president of International Development for Caesars Entertainment, in an interview published by the Asian media outlet Shingetsu News, has reaffirmed the gaming giant’s desire to enter the Japanese casino market.
"We come frequently to Japan. Since the (casino) legislation passed, we renewed all our discussions and I think we are as well positioned as any of the other competitors in being successful and obtaining one of the licenses," he said
He continued, the market is set to become the second largest behind Macau. The mandate at Caesars is to pursue Asia more aggressively, according to tight.
The company is poised to exit a more than two-year bankruptcy sometime in the third quarter of this year.
