The annual Big Poker Oktober is currently underway at the Bicycle Hotel & Casino in Bell Gardens, California.
The first event was a $350 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament held on Sunday, Oct. 1. The $75,000 guaranteed event drew 354 entries and created a $103,014 prize pool. Thirty-six players were paid, with Gene Donohue winning $28,329 for 1st place.
Last week the $245 No-Limit Hold’em Quantum started on Monday, Oct. 2. The week-long $400,000 guaranteed event was still in progress as of press time.
The Bike’s series includes a number of mixed games including a $245 Omaha 8/Limit Big O 8 with a $10,000 guarantee.
A $245 H.O.R.S.E. begins Tuesday at 3 p.m. and features a $10,000 guarantee. The following week, on Wednesday, Oct. 18, will feature a $245 PLO 8 or Better. The $10,000 guarantee tournament starts at 1 p.m.
Nightly No-Limit Hold’em Mega-Satellites run at 7:30 p.m. and guarantee two $1,100 Main Event seats.
The $400,000 No-Limit Hold’em Card Player Main Event starts onSaturday, Oct. 14, at 12 p.m. This $1,100 buy-in tournament continues through Monday, Oct. 16, with a direct buy-in into Day 2 for $4,300.
Players who directly buy in to Day 2 start with 120,000 chips. Day 3 will resume on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. with 50-minute levels.
