The originators of the Broadway show’s star roles, including Corey Cott (as Donny Nova on piano & vocals), Brandon J. Ellis (bass), Dan Meoli (drums), Joey Pero (trumpet), Geoff Packard (trombone), Nate Hopkins (saxophone/clarinet), and the golden-voiced Laura Osnes (as Julia Trojan) will perform favorite ’40s-era-inspired tunes from the original Broadway score — plus some toe-tapping standards and new surprises that are sure to have you swingin' in your seat! Matt Perri, the music director for the Broadway production, serves as music director again for this energizing show.

Set in post-war 1945, “Bandstand” follows Private First Class Donny Novitski, singer and songwriter, as he returns to rebuild his life with only the shirt on his back and a dream in his heart. When NBC announces a national competition to find the nation's next great musical superstars, inspiration strikes! Donny joins forces with a motley group of fellow veterans, each an astonishing musician. Together, they form a band unlike any the nation has ever seen. Along the way, they discover the power of music to face the impossible, find their voice and finally feel like they have a place to call home. This acclaimed Broadway musical was conceived and written by Richard Oberacker, music director of Cirque du Soleil’s “Ka,” along with his longtime collaborator Robert Taylor. Many of the rollicking tunes of “Bandstand” were debuted at Myron’s Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center during the Composers Showcase of Las Vegas – an entertainment forum where local composers and songwriters present original music material.
