The art world has added a major player with reports that Steve Wynn is planning to launch a new career as a dealer of fine art.
The casino mogul stepped down as chairman and chief executive of Wynn Resorts in February subsequently selling his stock in the company.
The prominent art world website, artnet.com, reports the billionaire has launched an online art gallery called Sierra Fine Art LLC where he is advertising multimillion-dollar works by Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, and Henri Matisse for sale. Wynn’s lawyer Michael Kosnitzky told the art-centric website that his client has already transferred a “meaningful” amount of his extraordinary art collection into the business to launch his new endeavor.
Wynn, 76, left his stewardship at Wynn Resorts amid allegations by multiple women of sexual misconduct. He has strongly denied the allegations.
