Lightening apparently can strike in the same place twice.
Reports from France say a frequent lottery player using the same numbers and buying his tickets at the same location has now defied the odds by winning the My Million lottery twice in 18 months.
Le Parisien newspaper says mathematicians they spoke to calculated the double win as 1 chance in 16 trillion.
Radio France Bleu on Thursday quoted the state lottery La Francaise des Jeux as saying the anonymous winner garnered 1 million euros ($1.18 million) on May 18 after winning 1 million euros in November 2016.
The Associated Press reports, an employee at the cafe La Havane in Evian-les-Bains, in Southeastern France on the shores of Lake Geneva, told the radio network that the winner “hasn’t changed at all.”
My Million is part of EuroMillions lottery game.
