Resorts Casino Hotel and the Golden Nugget Atlantic City officially joins four other operating sportsbooks in Atlantic City today (Wednesday).
The Resorts sportsbook features what it calls an “interactive lounge” with a 12-foot video wall, 15 television screens, six betting windows and four self-serve kiosks.
The unveiling was marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony by President Mark Giannantonio and is being operated through sports betting partner DraftKings, the only New Jersey operator, at this time, with a functioning, legal mobile sports app.
It was also learned late Tuesday that Atlantic City's Golden Nugget casino would also begin taking sports bets. N.J. State Division of Gaming Enforcement Director David Rebuck said he now has approved the Golden Nugget to begin offering on-premises sports betting Wednesday morning.
Other Atlantic City sportsbooks currently taking sport betting action in what is already a highly competitive market are located at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Ocean Resort Casino, the Wild Wild West Casino inside Bally’s Atlantic City and Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City.
