Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula has implemented a new program in which veterans and their service dogs are being utilized for security around California’s largest casino/resort.
The man behind the concept is Robert Krauss, a former Marine, who told KABC-TV, "It helps them (veterans) assimilate back into the workforce. It gives them an opportunity to work." Pechanga officials say they hope to expand their security team to include 10 more veteran/canine duos to be used for security.
"If other employers in the area and everyone around here takes a look at this and what positive impact something like this can do for your organization, I think it is a win-win for everybody," Krauss said.
