The tribal operator of Mohegan Sun in Connecticut announced it has been selected to oversee daily operations of two casinos and an entertainment complex in Niagara Falls, Canada.

Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) is owner, developer, and/or manager of casino/resorts throughout the United States, including Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington and Pennsylvania, in addition to Northern Asia.

MGE said Monday it’s the choice of Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. (OLG) to assume daily operations of its Fallsview Casino Resort, Casino Niagara, and 5,000-seat Niagara Falls Entertainment Centre, which is currently under construction.

MGE assumes its role as OLG’s service provider beginning in the summer of 2019. OLG will assist in managing the casinos, known as the Niagara Gaming Bundle, including approvals for operational changes.

Fallsview Casino is over 2.5 million square feet, with 200,000 square feet of gaming space and more than 3,000 slot machines and 100 gaming tables.

Casino Niagara boasts a 95,000-square-foot gaming floor with 1,500 slot machines and more than 40 table games.
