Caesars Ent. files trademark protection documents in Macau

Caesars Entertainment, as part of its recent emphasis on developing operations outside the U.S., has filed trademark protection documents in Macau.
The Macau News Agency reports that Caesars subsidiaries have filed to protect the Flamingo and The Cromwell brands in the Chinese gambling hub to secure the names relating to casino services, casino management, gaming services, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment and nightclub venues.
The Cromwell is the company’s boutique Las Vegas hotel and casino on the northeast corner of Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard. The historic Flamingo, operating on the Las Vegas Strip under various owners since 1946 are two brands Caesars has reportedly made available to third-party hoteliers that might be interested in a partnership, the news agency reports.
