Phil Satre, an American Gaming Association Hall of Famer, was officially elevated to chairman of the board for Wynn Resorts.
Satre, who joined the board three months ago, replaces D. Boone Wayson, who retired.
“I am honored to be named chairman of the newly refreshed Wynn Resorts board and look forward to continuing to support the company’s transformation,” Satre, a former CEO and chairman of Harrah’s Entertainment, said in a statement.
Wynn’s 10-member board has taken on a different look with six newcomers this year. The board includes four women in an attempt to change the culture following the sexual-harassment controversy involving founder Steve Wynn, who left the company last winter.
