Texas Station’s Oyster Bar nice option

One of my favorite places to eat at is the Oyster Bar at Palace Station. But if you are a regular in town, you know this place is a lot of people’s favorite.

The Oyster Bar has limited seating and because of its popularity there is almost always a line to get a seat. The wait can be an hour or more at times.

However, I have found an alternative to having to wait in a long line .

I’ll take a drive to Texas Station (2101 Texas Star Lane) in North Las Vegas and go to the Oyster Bar there. It’s the same great food without the long lines. The Oyster Bar at Texas Station has plenty of seating so I have never had to wait.

For me, all my trips center around the pan roasts. You can get shrimp, crab or lobster in your Pan Roast. I don’t want to have to decide between them, so I always go for the combination pan roast that gets you all three. Trust me this is as good as it gets.

When you order, they will ask you what level of spice you want according to your taste. In addition to the pan roasts, another signature item at the Oyster Bar is the New Orleans gumbo. Just like the pan roasts, you can get it with shrimp, crab, lobster or all three. Nothing hits the spot on a chilly day like a pan roast or gumbo.

The Oyster Bar also has several other house favorites, including their Voodoo pasta with chicken, shrimp and andouille sausage tossed with linguine and a spicy Cajun sauce. They also have their Kettle specialties of Bouillabaisse and Cioppino. The Bouillabaisse consists of shrimp, crab, mussels, clams and fresh fish in a light tomato saffron broth. The Cioppino is a San Francisco seafood stew in a spicy tomato sauce with a medley of fish and shellfish.

You can’t be an Oyster Bar without fresh oysters, and you can get oysters on the half shell or Oysters Rockefeller as well clam chowder both New England and Manhattan style.

The staff at the Oyster Bar were very friendly and attentive and the portions are huge while being reasonably priced. Don’t forget if you’re 50 or older on the months that the seafood restaurants are featured in the My Generation Promotion at Stations properties you can dine here for half price when you use your comp points. I’m usually at one of the Oyster Bars every Wednesday on those months.

I give the Oyster Bar at Texas Station 3.75 Forks.
