General manager/managing editor Howard Barish interviewed Jason Scott, vice president of trading for Roar Digital/BetMGM.
Scott, a native Australian, described his career journey that started in the horse racing business and eventually transitioned to sports betting. He recently arrived in the U.S. and resides near the Roar Digital offices in Jersey City. It was interesting to learn how Roar operates within its joint parent companies, GVC and MGM Resorts International.
Barish asked about emerging sports betting markets and the challenges of carving out market share. Scott believes that leveraging the MGM brand name along with their alliances with Yahoo and sports leagues, will provide an advantage in customer acquisition.
