Passenger traffic traveling through Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport was down from August, but continues its incremental improvement since the reopening of the casino industry in June.
There were 1.7 million passengers that went through the airport in September, which is down from 1.73 million in August, but September saw a lower percentage decline.
The 1.7 million passengers in September was down 60.6% from September 2019. The 1.73 million passengers in August was down 60.8% from August 2019.
There were 1.62 million passengers in July -- the first full month of casino openings -- a 64% decline over July 2019.
Domestic travel was down 57.6% from September 2019. International travel was off 96%.
