N.K.ROCKET MAN: Maiden was going 5 1/2 furlongs on the grass at Santa Anita. He was four-wide around the turn and five-wide down the lane. He still came on to finish a solid third, losing the race by a length. This race has him set up perfectly for the maiden breaker on the Del Mar five-furlong turf course.
WESTWARD BREEZE: Maiden 2-year-old filly was making her first start and she took some serious action on the tote in this 5 1/2 furlong race on the grass at Santa Anita. She broke slow but moved into a good stalking position. She was taken to the outside in upper stretch and just blasted home to win going away. She will be able to beat winners next out on the Del Mar lawn.
LA V: This maiden filly was going 5 1/2 furlongs on the grass at Santa Anita and was let go at 16-1. She battled tooth-and-nail on the front end between runners and held gamely till deep stretch tiring late. If able to clear next out at Del Mar she will be gone.
