When one door closes, another one opens as the saying goes. And that’s exactly what has happened at Treasure Island’s Golden Circle Sportsbook & Bar.
The book has reinvented itself due to the closure of the property’s buffet. With all the extra space being unused, the Golden Circle decided to expand out into that area and the result is one of the best new spots to hang out , drink and eat while betting on sports and the horses. There are over 60 different TV’s throughout the bar and restaurant area as well as giant wall screens in the Sportsbook area. No matter where you sit you will have many viewing options.
What’s nice about Golden Circle is unlike many sports books on the Las Vegas Strip, casinos which are now charging to have a seat in the sportsbook, there is no seat charge here as the only requirements are a two-drink minimum, or to order food, which for me is no problem.
The Golden Circle is taking care of the locals as they have specials just for Southern Nevada residents. Monday thru Thursday they have $5 beer specials and they also have a Sunday Night Football well drinks all-you-can-drink locals special for just $50 for from 5 p.m.
As for the food, they have appetizers, sandwiches, salads and wings. I ordered the Linebacker Bison Burger that is served with fries. The burger is huge and was very good.
Other items on the menu that I will be trying on future visits will be the wings and the Bases Loaded Nachos that can have chicken or ground beef added. If you want to feel like you are right at the ballpark, you can order a Nathan’s hot dog.
For me, the best part of the entire experience is it’s a place that you can comfortably spend an entire day watching and betting sports and horses as all of this is located right inside the sportsbook. In addition to having live tellers, they also have self-betting kiosks located throughout the book. They even have 12 slot machines if you need to change things up while watching the games.
The wait staff is extremely friendly and very attentive I give Golden Circle Sportsbook & Bar a rating of 3.75 Forks.
