This Garage has lots of great grub

It’s always fun going to check out a brand-new place, especially one that has TV’s everywhere you turn and specializes in two of my favorite foods.

Burgers and wings are made for football and at the brand-new Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews, that’s their specialty. Sickies has been open for just a couple of months and is located at 6629 Las Vegas Boulevard South inside the Town Square shopping center. This is the seventh location and first in Nevada for Sickies, which has restaurants in four other states (Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota).

The menu at Sickies is massive as they offer 50 different burgers along with several other sandwich options. The appetizers list has a lot of great munchie offerings to snack on while watching the games. One of my favorites was the cheese curds. Try getting one of their wing sauces to dip them in. I got a side of the sweet chili sauce for dipping and they were amazing.

Speaking of amazing, let’s talk about the chicken wings. You can order your wings traditional or boneless. But if you are a boneless wing person, I don’t know if we can be friends because boneless wings are just wrong on so many levels. But that is for a whole different debate for another day.

Sickies has 25 different sauces, and my mission is to try most of them. On this visit, I went with the stinging honey garlic which was very tasty. The wings were nice-sized and cooked to perfection.

My wife Lori went the simple route with her burger. She had 50 to choose from but went with the classic and was very happy. The burger comes with waffle fries, which she liked a lot. So did our granddaughter.

All of the burgers have fun names like the Twin Cam Burger which is a burger in between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Better have 911 on speed dial if you order that one.

If you like some heat, you can order the Hot Momma which is topped with ghost pepper cheese and peppered bacon. They even have breakfast burgers including the Glazed Doughnut Burger that is a burger served on a glazed doughnut bun.

If you aren’t feeling like a burger, they have a wide variety of chicken sandwiches to choose from, including their Crispy Chicken sandwich where you can have your fried chicken breast tossed in any of their 25 wing sauces.

Sickies has several salads to choose from as well, but sorry, I won’t be reviewing them here as salads and football are not in my playbook. The point is, there is something for everyone’s taste.

In addition to 50 different burgers, Sickies also has 50 different brews to choose from, including local craft beers and national favorites. With so many to choose from, you will surely find several to like.

There are TV’s located throughout the bar and restaurant area so you can sit and chill with your favorite adult beverage while taking in all the games.

Conveniently located just minutes from the major hotels along the Las Vegas Strip, Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews will be a fan favorite with both locals and visitors, especially those visiting from the Midwest who are familiar with their menu and decor. The wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I give Sickies a rating of 3.75 Forks.
