Drexel casino training lab dedicated to Dennis Gomes

Drexel University has announced that its casino training lab is being dedicated to the memory of Las Vegas and Atlantic City gaming executive Dennis Gomes.

“With the support of the Gomes family,” Jennifer Bogdan, a staff writer for the pressofAtlantic City.com reported on Friday, the university will dedicate a new casino training facility to the well-known executive who died in 2012 while working as the co-owner of the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City.

The new facility will be known as the Dennis Gomes Memorial Casino Training Lab.

Helping expand the facility’s training floor was the recent donation of slot machines to the university by Bally Technologies Inc. (BYI). The machines, the university said, don’t accept money but offer students a chance to witness mock customer interactions.
