International Game Technology (IGT) and Aristocrat Leisure Limited (Aristocrat) have agreed to settle all outstanding litigation between them and enter into a cross-licensing agreement, it was announced Monday.

The comprehensive accord covers intellectual property involving game features and system patents.

In a statement, Renato Ascoli, IGT CEO North America and Gaming Interactive said “This agreement demonstrates both companies’ shared commitment to investing in and preserving the value of intellectual property.”

Aristocrat is the largest gambling machine manufacturer in Australia, and one of the largest manufacturers of slot machines in the world, second only to IGT.
