Golden Entertainment Group remains in expansion mode with word that its PT’s Pub division in Southern Nevada has acquired all three venerable T-Bird Lounge & Restaurant locations in Las Vegas.
The three 24-hour casual bars are known for video poker, pool, Golden Tee (a golf arcade game), and a multitude of televisions. PT’s Entertainment Group will assume operations, by the end of this month, of the three T Bird’s, located at: 6560 W. Warm Springs Road, 9465 S. Eastern Ave., and 8780 W. Lindell Road.
Industry observers believe Golden is quickly positioning itself for a major foray into the sport betting marketplace with its casino and tavern acquisitions and the unveiling of a mobile app that would effectively turn each of its 60 Nevada pubs into a sportsbook.
“After 28 years in the bar and restaurant business, we have made the difficult decision to sell our businesses,” the co-founders of T-Bird’s, said in a statement. “It’s been an incredible ride and we are so thankful to everyone who has supported T-Bird’s. It is with great pride that we pass the torch to PT’s.”
PT’s Entertainment Group now has 60 taverns throughout the Las Vegas Valley and Nevada, including PT’s Pub, PT’s Gold, PT’s Ranch, PT’s Brewing Company, Sean Patrick’s, Sierra Gold, and SG Bar. Golden Entertainment has recently acquired both Arizona Charlie’s casinos in Las Vegas, the Stratosphere on the Las Vegas Strip and owns and operates additional casino/resorts in Laughlin to go along with casino operations in Pahrump, Nv., Maryland and its major slot route operations in Nevada and elsewhere.
