The Milwaukee Brewers look to square their four-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates when the two teams square off in the Steel City. First pitch is set for 4:05 pm PT at PNC Park where the Brewers are -115 moneyline favorites. The total is 8.
Milwaukee (55-39, 25-21 road) dropped Thursday’s series opener 6-3. Despite owning a one-game lead in the National League Central, the Brewers have struggled within the division going 19-21. They continue to get solid production from All-Star Jesus Aguilar who slugged his league-leading 24th home run Thursday. He’s 10 for 27 with three doubles, five homers, and 12 RBIs over his past seven games.
Pittsburgh (44-49, 25-24 home) is in the midst of a 4-1 streak and has won four of six this season against Milwaukee. Right-handers Junior Guerra (6-5, 2.79 ERA) and Nick Kingham (3-4, 4.26 ERA) will square on the PNC bump.
Guerra is 1-1 with a 3.44 ERA in eight games (six starts) against the Pirates, who dealt him a loss in May. Kingham won his first start against the Brewers on May 4 despite allowing four runs in 5.1 innings.
The UNDER is 12-3-1 in the last 16 meetings in Pittsburgh, 19-5-3 in the last 27 overall and 5-1 in Guerra’s past six starts vs. the Pirates. The Bucs are 5-0 to the UNDER in their last five overall and 5-0 in their past five home games.
