Excalibur keno something special

The Excalibur offers a nonsmoking keno game in their sportsbook area. They have a regular rate, a $2 red hot special rate, a $3.50 special rate, and an All or Nothing Special.
The returns on these tickets run from about 70% to 72%, better than several other casinos on the Strip. The Excalibur sits on the southwest corner of Tropicana Ave. and Las Vegas Blvd. and is easy to get to by several bus routes such as The Deuce, The Strip Express (SDX), WAX (express bus to airport) and the 201 Tropicana 24 bus, There is also a free monorail (Tram) from Mandalay Bay and Luxor to Excalibur.
They are generous on their way ticket minimum rules, however, these lower minimums apply to regular rate tickets only. They are three ways or more, 50 cents per way; 10 ways or more 25 cents per way; and for 60 ways or more, 10 cents per way. Also applicable to their regular rate is multi-game ticket minimums, which are 50 games or more at 50 cents/game, 100 or more at 25 cents/game, and 200 or more at 10 cents/game. These lower multi-game tickets apply to one- through ten-spot tickets.
The Red Hot Special rates average about 2% higher in return than their other rates. If you want to play ways, as most of us do, the regular rates still have a decent return. Help at the counter is good and it is a nonsmoking environment. Edgar, one of the writers there, was especially helpful during my information gathering session for this article. They use the M-Life card and will attach a sticker to your card with your keno tracking number. Make sure to use it as this will earn you comps for your play, win or lose.
Ask the writer about combination tickets (multiple rates on the same ticket) rules. They also have MegaKeno, thus you can try for $2M-plus for a $1.50 ten-spot. The Megakeno needs to be on a separate ticket.
Since the 10-spot progressive is so high, let’s do a MegaKeno 10 for $1.50, then on your way ticket use the same 10 numbers to form other way tickets.
If another number of spots on Megakeno (5 through 9 spots) is high then play this at $1.50 as well. I really like the Red Hot rate 7-spot special for $2 as you win $21,000 for $2 for a solid hit and still get $1,000 for a 6 out of 7. If you can handle about $5-$10 per game you can get a lot of good action, some nice comps and have a chance to hit it big.
Let’s go with simplicity. Think of groups of 4-3-2-1. Play the 10 at MegaKeno for $1.50. Play each of the 2 sevens at the Red Hot Special rate for $2 each. Then play the 1 nine, 1 eight, 2 sixes, 2 fives, 2 fours, and 2 threes at a quarter a way at a total cost of $8 per game. If this is too much you can play everything except the 10-spot Mega10 MegaKeno for a quarter a way, and just the 10-spot MegaKeno progressive, which must be played at $1.50. This would cost you $4.50 per game.
Excalibur is a good place to play keno on the South Strip. Enjoy and good luck!
