The Best Western Plus Casino Royale is located center-strip across from Caesars Palace at 3411 Las Vegas Blvd. South and is owned privately by the Elardi family. The 22,000 square foot casino offers slots, video poker, video keno and table games.

The Club Royale player’s club is a one-of-a-kind, unlike any other.

The stand-alone club (not connected to any other casino) has no tiers and there is no point tracking system as is customary with nearly all slot clubs.

Instead, the casino rewards (or some refer to it as a “rebate”) on losses. Casino Royale calls it “Player Payback.” As a new member joining the club for the first time your first $20 loss is a “freebie” on the house. You will instantly be credited with $20 in free play for your initial $20 loss. After that, you’ll be reimbursed with $20 in free slot play credits for every $100 of loss thereafter.

Now granted, no one likes to lose but a 20% loss rebate is a heck of a good deal! And the promotion is repeated every time you accumulate another $100 loss. The club rules are simple:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to participate and an active member of the Club Royale players club. Membership is a privilege and may be revoked at any time for any reason.

• Earn $20 in Player Payback free slot play credits for first $20 of loss and for every $100 of loss thereafter.

• Player Payback free slot play credits are rewarded based on your carded play on any slot, video poker or video slot machine and on any denomination unless otherwise noted.

• Some additional rules and restrictions may apply and can be found at the Club Royale booth.

Players also earn comps but you’ll need to consult the club booth or a casino host to find out what you’ve earned since the type of machine played and denomination all add into the “secret sauce formula.” Comps also have a short shelf life and must be used within 48 hours from your last carded activity. Comps earned can be used for rooms, room charges and at all restaurants on the property.

One of the cool things about Casino Royale is its unique lineup of restaurants. They have the only 24 hour White Castle (think “sliders”) on the West Coast, the busiest Outback Steakhouse in the world (open daily 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.), a Denny’s Restaurant, plus fast food outlets.

The Food Court features Subway (open 24 hours daily), Noble Roman’s Pizza, Cinnabon, Footlong Hot Dogs and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. Fat Tuesday’s features frozen drinks and is open 7 days a week 10 a.m. until “after midnight.” Another favorite is the ongoing drink specials at the casino bar, including $1 Michelob bottles and $1 Michelob Light bottles available daily.
