The 10-spot Megakeno stands at over $2.2 million. You can check on this and the other statewide Megakeno progressives at megakeno.com.

Laughlin also has several live keno games. Of special interest is the Colorado Belle pays a 10% bonus when you play a ticket for 21 games or more. This is significant as it sharply reduces the house edge. This is especially significant on pays that are frequent.

Their 4-spot pay table for $1 returns $1 for 2-of-4; $3 for 3-of-4, and -$125 for a solid 4, but if you play 21 games or more on one ticket the return still is $1 for 2-of-4, but increases to $3.50 for 3-of-4 and $138 for 4-of-4. This changes the return from about 72% to 78%, definitely significant. This is one of the best promotions you will find at keno.

They also offer a progressive for $1.25 on 6, 7, 8, and 9 spots. Numbers in groups of 6-2-1 allow you to play all the progressives on one ticket at $1.25 per way for a total of $5 as with this grouping you have a 6, 7, 8 and 9. The 6, 7, and 8 pay from a hit of 4 or more (a hit of 4 returns your bet) and the 9 pays from a hit of 5 or more (returning your bet). The 6-spot progressive starts at $2,500, the 7 at $10,000, the 8 at $30,000 and the 9-spot at $40,000. They also offer $3.50 specials on 4, 5 and 6 spots, again with a 10% bonus if you play 21 games or more on one ticket.

A speed keno game is also offered where you have a very rapid series of draws. They offer a 35-cent play per game special with a 100 game minimum for 6, 7, 8, and 9 spots. They pay from a hit of 3 spots for the 6- and 7-spot ticket (return of your bet) and from a hit of 4 spots (return of your bet) on the 8- and 9-spot ticket. This allows your money to last a while.

The overall pay table and return is decent for a bet of this size (35 cents per game with a 100 game minimum). You can do the 6-2-1 grouping for 100 games for a total wager of $140 though this may be too large for some. Remember the adage, “Bet with your head, not over it” (unless keno is on the second floor of course). If this is too much reduce the number of ways or find a rate that allows a lower bet per way. Just ask the keno writers what is permitted.

Their happy hour specials are appealing as they focus on the top end of the pay table, paying more for a larger hit by giving up something, but not a lot, for the smaller hits. This special is available for 4 through 7 spots. Check with the keno writers if way tickets are permitted at less than the $1.25 rate for this special. As with all special tickets, make sure to write the code for the special you are playing on the ticket so your win is paid as desired. Most casinos have the rule that if the rate is not specified then the pay will default to the regular rate.

Personally, I prefer the regular rate played for 21 games or more to get the 10% bonus as the 6% greater return is quite helpful to making your bankroll last as long as possible. The only exception would be when the progressive gets high enough to offer a better return than the bonus regular or $3.50 rate.

The Edgewater basically has the same rates and specials if you are staying there. Always check the paybooks when you arrive as rates and games change, Never assume anything.
