G2E, the annual gaming show held two weeks ago at the Sands Convention Center, revealed hundreds of new games – giving us a glimpse of what the casino floors will be displaying in the near future.
Aristocrat, an Australian-based gaming manufacturer, has created a video slot machine based on the 1960’s television series, “Batman.” This new version based on the classic TV series that starred Adam West will debut in the spring of 2014 and features all of the old characters from the show, including video clips and a “Wonder Wheels” bonus feature that will keep the game exciting for players.
West spent several hours in the Aristocrat studios providing custom voice recordings used on the slot machine, which includes images of Batman and Robin, and all the villains: The Joker, The Penguin, The Riddler, Mr. Freeze, King Tut and Catwoman. Even Alfred the butler makes an appearance.
Additionally, Aristocrat also showcased new slot games, including “Walking Dead” and a music themed “Rolling Stones” slot. One of Aristocrat’s most popular slot games ever, “Tarzan,” will be coming out with yet another new version of the game launching this fall or spring.
Bally Technologies, a huge presence in the slot market, revealed several new games sure to attraction on the casino floors. “Titanic” looks to be a winner with great graphics and movie clips, and several bonus round features. And from Michael Jackson last year to “ZZ Top” this year, whoever thought they would get their own slot machine? But it’s coming!
Look for a new version of “Playboy” slots in the continuing popular game series. David Copperfield gets his own slot coming out soon, too!
We all see those crazy neon flashing lights on Aruze Gaming machines in many casinos, like Aladdin and the Ultra Stack Games such as Lion and Dragon and many others. Aruze will continue the Ultra Stacks with Mermaid, Feature Rose and Diamond all expected to be out soon.
Konami Gaming’s (China Mystery/China Shores) most popular slot series, Extra Rewards, will showcase several new games in the coming year. They will also be offering a new version of Quick Strike Quads.
Everyone recognizes Monopoly and Wizard of Oz slots on the gaming floor, two of WMS’s (Williams Gaming) most popular games! New versions of both games will be forthcoming!
If you’re a movie buff, you’ll get a kick out of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” new slot game, featuring the movie characters and “Twist and Shout” playing in the background. “Ironman” should be popular for the superhero game lovers. You’ll also be seeing “The Jetsons,” based on the old TV series, and “Beetlejuice,” another movie-based slot game.
AGS (American Gaming Systems) showcased “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” The game includes answering real questions, and players can use “cheats” and “peeks” in the bonus rounds, just like in the TV show.
We also noticed what may be a return of the slot handle to many of the games featured on the floor at G2E this year. There is something to be said about that old time Vegas tradition. Keep an eye out.
Play smart but enjoy the new games and give us your feedback!
