A lot has changed since 1966. Fifty years ago, a barren wasteland area known as Tri State has since boomed into a tourist gambling city, becoming Laughlin, Nevada, named after the town’s founding father, Don Laughlin. Celebrating its 50th year, the once bankrupt motel that stood on the banks of the Colorado River has evolved into a resort and casino of epic proportions: Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino.
The Riverside is home to over 1,700 slot and video poker machines, including the latest technologically advanced video machines, 50 live gaming tables, poker, blackjack, roulette, keno, bingo, a race and sportsbook and craps.
In addition to gaming, amenities include plenty of fun and entertainment for the entire family. Don’s Celebrity Theatre seats 800 guests and is home to top-name entertainment such as Charo, the Oak Ridge Boys, Vicki Lawrence, Roy Clark, Glen Campbell, and Debbie Reynolds, to name a just a few. The Dance Club offers more than 1,400 square feet of dance floor for you to kick up your heels or experience the karaoke club by night. The world famous Losers’ Lounge provides live top-40 bands nightly, two levels of seating and two dance floors. Other attractions include: the U.S.S. Riverside luxury tour boat cruises, two classic car exhibits, a 740-space full hook-up RV park, gift shops, two swimming pools, a dance studio, a beauty salon and massage service, six restaurants (from buffet to gourmet), six THX surround-sound, Dolby Digital Cinemas with digital 3-D; large video and game arcades, a mail center and Waverunner rentals.
King of Clubs (catchy name for a slot club) new enrollee’s receive a free gift when they sign up for the free club. From then on members earn valuable points when playing any slots, reels, video poker or video keno machines. You can even earn club points when playing bingo in the Bingo Paradise Room.
Points can be redeemed for real cash back, becoming more a rarity these days in favor of many clubs only offering free slot play in exchange for points.
Every $5 coin-in earns you one point. Earn 1,000 points and receive $10 cash. King of Clubs members can also receive substantial savings when they redeem points for meals, rooms and logo merchandise available at the club booth. In addition, based on play, club members also receive special discounts on rooms, tickets to Don’s Celebrity Theater, special offers for their birthday, invitations to parties, shows, special events, and tournaments.
In addition to earning points, members also earn comp dollars, which can be used for food, rooms, and much more. If you are a pit player or a race and sportsbook player, just present your card to receive comp dollars. Pit players and race and sports book players earn comp dollars only, no points.
Every Monday through Thursday through June 30, earn 1,000 points using your King of Clubs players’ card at single base rate points and receive a guaranteed random prize anywhere from 100 bonus points up to 10,000 bonus points. Earn 500 points at a single rate during June and receive a free 50th Anniversary t-shirt.
See the King of Clubs booth for details on all promotions. For more information about Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino, visit www.riversideresort.com.
