Actress and TV sex symbol Carmen Electra will be the face of Pokerist.com and its Texas Hold’em poker game for iOS, Android and Facebook on line accounts.
The announcement came Thursday in Cyprus to promote the Pokerist.com site, which boasts over five million active players monthly. Electra, a long-time Poker fan, will appear throughout the multi-platform Pokerist Texas Poker game.
As the "face" of the game, Electra will greet players in the game’s loading screen and main menu. She will also serve as the poker teacher inside the game’s tutorial, and the dealer at each table inside the game. The introduction of Electra is only one of numerous upgrades being introduced by Pokerist.com in its latest update release.
Electra is part of the site’s upgrade that includes simultaneous two tables play, an enhanced system that allows for chat messages between an entire table, and the ability for players to access up to four screens while playing.
In addition, players will be able to access chat memory and play in shoot-out tournaments. Players will now be able to view previous games and send screen shots of their winning combination of cards to friends.
"We’re committed to continuing to deliver the most authentic and exciting poker experience available," said Igor Churpin, Director, Pokerist.com. "The partnership with Carmen, along with our new gameplay features, further helps to differentiate Pokerist Texas Poker from the competition and showcase why it is one of the most popular Poker games in the world."
Electra is well-known on the Celebrity Poker circuit, having opened the first ever World Poker Tour branded poker room at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut in 2006.
