The Luxor has a popular poker room and one of the longest established on the Strip. With 10 tables, they are open daily and routinely host a variety of poker games and tournaments to suit players of all levels.
The Poker Room is off the main casino near the thoroughfare that connects the Luxor with the Excalibur. They offer an aggressive roster of various high hand jackpot promotions, including progressive bonuses and special high hands that pay off regularly.
Regular games offered include: Limit Texas Hold-Em: $2 & $4, $3 & $6, $6 & $12 and No Limit Texas Hold-Em: $1 & $2 Blinds, $1 & $3 Blinds and $2 & $5 Blinds. The comp rate is $1 per hour, but if you play 4 hours straight you’ll get $5 for a dining comp.
If you’re a hotel guest, play 5 hours each day and receive the special Poker Rate when you check out.

No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em: 10:30 a.m. $35 buy-in; 3,000 starting chips; 50/100 starting blinds; Blinds increase every 15 minutes.
12:30 p.m. $60 buy-in; 4,000 starting chips; 25/50 starting blinds; Blinds increase every 20 minutes.
8:30 p.m. $60 buy-in; 4,000 starting chips; 25/50 starting blinds; Blinds increase every 20 minutes.

Circus Circus Casino
Located at the opposite end of the Strip, this MGM property has a more casual poker room opening at 11 a.m. daily. It is conveniently located near the entrance of The Main Casino near the front doors and also offers 10 tables with low-limit games.
Free Poker Lessons are offered Monday through Thursday at 2 p.m. teaching newbie’s the basics of poker play in a live game. Players are comped at the rate of $1 per hour. The hotel offers discount room rates for poker players. You can inquire in the poker room or check with the front desk on rates.
The current schedule of weekly and daily poker tournaments include a Texas Hold’em Free Roll Tournament with $3,000 Guaranteed Weekly, held every Sunday at noon. Only 10 hours of previous play during the prior week will qualify you for the tournament.
A Texas Hold’em Tournament is held every day at 2 p.m. The buy-in is $45 with an add-on. In addition, a $100 High Hand Contest is held every Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. For more information call the Circus Circus Poker Room at 702-836-6606.
