The hourly cash and gift card drawings at the Orleans poker room will be extended through September. There will be $100 per hour in cash or gift cards awarded daily from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and again from 8 p.m.-2 a.m.

Each hour during the specified time frames they will alternate awarding $100 in cash and $100 in gift cards via random drawings. Gift cards are similar to a debit card, and may be used for food, retail, etc. at The Orleans or other participating Boyd Gaming properties.

In order to be eligible, players must be clocked in with their B Connected card and playing in any “live” poker game during the qualifying periods. Players who have a missed blind or are in “lobby mode” will not be eligible. Players may only win once per drawing period. The promotion will end at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30.

Suncoast: Qualify for the $15,000 Sizzlin’ Free Roll Poker Tournament by this Saturday to get in on the Sept. 17 Tournament. Poker players can qualify with 80 rated “live” hours of play accumulated from July 1-Aug. 31. Receive 500 extra tournament chips for every 25 hours over 80 qualifying hours.

Earn double hours credit with play from 1 a.m.-9 a.m. and 4 p.m.-6 p.m. daily. Receive three hours for each initial tournament entry. The prize structure for the tournament is: First Place, $3,000; 2nd-50th, $50; 51st-Field, $25. See the poker room for complete details.

Red Rock: The $200,000 Poker Challenge is now underway and runs through Sept. 8. First Satellites run through Sept. 5. Each tournament level has an option to buy-in and, following the first, the ability to qualify for the next round.

Sign-up times are now available at the main cage, Cherry (the former nightclub space) or in the poker room. The first $100 satellite will take place in the poker room. Both the Super Satellite and the Main Event will take place inside Cherry.

Golden Nugget: The downtown resort is gearing up for its Golden Saturday VI scheduled for Sept. 21 in the Grand Event Center at noon. There is a $25,000 guaranteed minimum prize pool. Doors open at 10 a.m., and you can register now in the poker room or on the day of the event.

As an added bonus, all players at the final table will get a qualifying drawing ticket for the casino’s $300,000 Great American Cash and Car Giveaway, which grants a 1-in-2,000 chance at a brand new car.

Good luck, and may the “nuts” be with you!
