Seminole Hard Rock plans $2M poker tourney

Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” returns to the Hollywood, Florida hotel/casino Nov. 19-Dec. 2, carrying a $3,500 buy-in for the $2 million guaranteed event.

Held in the resort’s ballrooms, the series will feature 14 events with several secondary tourneys and qualifiers. The exciting poker action culminates with the live streamed and televised Championship final table in Paradise Live Theater. The schedule can be found at

There will be a $3,500 buy-in with a 30,000 chip starting stack and two starting flights beginning Friday, Nov. 27. Players may play either flight or both if they are eliminated. Unlimited re-entry will be allowed until the start of level 7 for each flight.

The series kick-off on Nov. 19 has a $350 buy-in Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em event featuring a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. There is also a $570 buy-in No Limit Hold’em event with a $250,000 guarantee on Monday, Nov. 23.

Poker Night in America, a nationally-televised poker show, will film high-stakes action during the final weekend of the series. Three cash games, which include a Ladies Night, will be aired on CBS Sports Network in Spring 2016. The $2 million guaranteed championship final table will also air. Broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.

On Sunday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m. the Galbut Family Miami Beach JCC on the Simkins Family Campus will host a Texas Hold’em poker fundraiser.
