Wynn debuts new poker room

This Thursday, Wynn Las Vegas will debut its all-new poker room, which will offer guests an elevated experience complete with a convenient location, in-room amenities and a spacious environment.

The poker room will be located near the center of the action, adjacent to Encore Players Club, Surrender, Encore Beach Club and Andrea’s. It will occupy 8,600 square feet, feature 28 tables and offer dedicated amenities for players. Each table will be equipped with USB ports for on-site electronic device charging.

A sportsbook window will be conveniently located inside the room and 35 65-inch televisions located within the space will stream live sporting events. Dedicated, in-room restrooms and a spacious high-limit area will create an all-inclusive experience, providing players with an added level of exclusivity and convenience.

Golden Nugget

The downtown casino/resort will present the ninth annual Grand Poker Series, May 31-July 3, in the Grand Event Center with more than 90 poker tournaments spread across 34 days ranging in both buy-in amounts and disciplines.

Of the 90 scheduled, 18 are in forms other than Hold’ Em, including stand-alone Omaha 8 or Better, Pot Limit Omaha and Big-O events, along with mixed game formats, including Razz, Stud, Stud 8 or Better, Pot Limit Omaha, Omaha 8 or Better, 2-7 Triple Draw and Big-O. Buy-ins range from $100 to $1,675, and most days, feature three events at 11 a.m., 1 and 7 p.m.

New additions to the Grand Poker Series include a daily $20K guarantee No Limit Hold’ Em Event almost every day at 1 p.m. with a $150 buy-in, a $100 buy-in event at 7 p.m. each night, a $100K Guarantee 6 Flight Event on June 10 and 11, a $500K Guarantee $570 buy-in Main Event starting on June 29, and multiple Seniors events during Seniors Week, featuring a $10K buy-in Seniors Super High Roller Event on June 26, presented by the Elder Statesman of Poker, Oklahoma Johnny Hale, a longtime contributing columnist to GamingToday.

Grand Poker Series is an official stop in the Poker Night in America new Final Table series starring Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari, Maria Ho, Joe Stapleton and David Tuchman. The Poker Night in America event has a $1,675 buy-in with three starting flights on June 3, 4 and 5. The Final Table will be live streamed via Twitch as well as filmed for broadcast on CBS Sports. “Poker Night in America” will also be filming an invite-only high stakes cash game.
