Last chance to play into historic $3M guaranteed SoCal Poker Championship

The 2016 LA Poker Open runs Nov. 4-20 at Commerce Casino, featuring the final stop of the SoCal Poker Championships (SCPC) with a $3,000,000 guarantee. This is your last chance to play your way into this historic event.

Two flights of the $350 SCPC No-Limit Hold’em tournament run twice a day at noon and 5:30 p.m. from Saturday, Nov. 5 to Saturday, Nov. 12. Players receive 12,500 in tournament chips and play 30 minute levels; 10% of the field are in the money while 6% will advance to Day 2 and get paid $800.

For the high rollers, there is a direct buy-in of $4,500 to Day 2 on Sunday, Nov. 13. Players will start with 210,000 chips. Play will resume at ante 500, blinds 1,500-3,000 with 40 minute levels; 33% of the Day 2 field will be in the money.

For players with a smaller bankroll, $60 Mega Satellites for the $350 seats will run every morning at 11 a.m. through Nov. 12. Players start with 5,000 chips and play 15 minute levels. Last chance to register will be at the end of the first break at 1:15 p.m. Re-entry is allowed through the close of registration.

The satellite will end when the number of players remaining is identical to the number of seats being awarded.

A $100,000 Freeroll for the top 50 point earners from all four host casinos – The Gardens Casino, The Bicycle Casino & Hotel, Hustler Casino and Commerce Hotel & Casino – will be held on Dec. 13 at 1 p.m. at the Bicycle.

The Championship Tournament will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. with 6% of the field from each casino returning to the Bicycle casino. Levels will be 60 minutes.

An action clock will be used once the field is down to 36 players. Players will have 40 seconds to act on their hand. Players will then receive three time extensions worth 60 seconds each.

The tournament will play down to the final nine players who will return on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. The final table will be streamed to Twitch. First place is guaranteed $500,000 plus a Mercedes Benz C Class automobile.

The first flight of the SCPC at Commerce Casino on Saturday had 292 players while 202 players showed up for the second flight of the day.
