I have worked as a dealer, floorman and pit boss in casinos in many jurisdictions, for over 40 years and have personally taught free gaming lessons in multiple casinos.
These popular classes covering craps, blackjack and roulette are usually conducted on the slower, day shift hours and occasionally on Friday and Saturday evenings. Over the years, we have taught thousands of new players the basics of how to play these games with the assistance of the WIN CARDS Program.
WIN CARDS are handy, plastic cards, with a dial, that work to quickly and easily show novices how to play. They offer a “skeleton of strategy” appropriate only for beginners.
We use the cards in the lessons and provide those who attend the classes with an incentive that enables them to buy their own set of these instructional cards. Basically, for $20, they receive $30 in casino chips (non-negotiable) plus, a free set of WIN CARDS.
The offer is redeemable at the casino’s players club, which can be joined for free.
It places these customers on the table games, no longer intimidated by the live action, with an added confidence that the lessons and the WIN CARDS provide.
Our customers can also take advantage of the promotion without attending classes.
I believe the WIN CARDS provide a mini, self-service and anonymous method for beginners to learn the basics of how to play.
In this manner, it works 24/7/365 to attract and develop new players for the table games.
The cards create a natural affinity to the games and that is the first step in marketing…making the customer feel familiar with and comfortable about your product/service.
When our customers end their gaming session, they have the WIN CARDS to review and are provided with a tangible item that might increase their chances of playing again in the future.
The WIN CARDS Program is a promotion that seems to work as advertised and I believe other casino properties could greatly benefit from it.
