Affinity Gaming operates 11 properties, five in Nevada, three in Colorado, two in Missouri, and one in Iowa dedicated to delivering a value-oriented product in a convenient, welcoming and casual atmosphere.
Our focus today will be the three A-Play card-linked (points transfer between all three) properties located in Primm, Nevada, about 30 minutes south of Las Vegas on Interstate 15 at the Southern Nevada/California state line.
Primm Valley Resort & Casino features 624 hotel rooms and suites that exude elegance and style. Offering 46,000 square feet of entertainment, the casino floor features 900 slot machines, 32 table games plus a race and sports book.
The 13,000-square-foot Spa at Primm is a state of the art sanctuary offering skin care, massages, spa body treatments and waxing services. If shopping is your thing, the next-door Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas, features more than 100 name brand stores. Primm Valley also offers a variety of restaurants including GP’s, Original Pancake House, Back Nine, The Country Club Buffet and quick bites at Primm Pizza, Primm Ice Cream and Coffee Corner.
Buffalo Bill’s has an action-packed 46,000 square foot casino with close to 2,000 slots and 39 table games, plus the legendary Desperado roller coaster. The hotel offers two towers of 1,242 guest rooms and suites, a Buffalo-shaped swimming pool, amusement rides, live entertainment at the Star of the Desert Arena, and a variety of dining options, including Guillermo’s Cocina & Cantina, Dog House, Miss Ashley’s Buffet, and Denny’s. There is also a food court that features McDonald’s, Buffalo Bill’s Pizza, Buffalo Bill’s Ice Cream, La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill and Panda Express.
Whiskey Pete’s offers a more casual atmosphere with 1,314 slot machines and table games, 777 rooms and suites, a swimming pool, including a Jacuzzi and a water slide. The handy monorail and 24 hour shuttles connect all three properties.
A-Play Club connecting all three properties features four tier levels with increased benefits. Card levels are: Red (0-499 base points); Silver (500-9,999 points); Gold (10,000-24,999 points) and Platinum (25,000-plus points).
There is a six month qualifying period: Jan. 1-June 30 and July 1-Dec. 31. A brochure explaining all club benefits is available at any of the A-Play centers located in all three casinos.
Points are earned as follows:
• one point for each dollar wagered on most reel slots.
• one point for every $2 wagered on any machine with a video poker game.
Table game points are earned based on game theoretical (approximately $4 wagered earns one point.) 400 points equals $1 that can be used for hotel rooms, at restaurants, gift shops, bars and the Spa at Primm. Swipe your card at most outlets and your points will be deducted automatically. 2,000 points equals $5 in free play or gas. Patrons receive 50% when paying with their points at many outlets.
New first time member sign-ups receive a free spin on the prize wheel. If you earn 1,000 base points on the same day of your sign-up, you’ll receive an additional spin. Players can win food vouchers, concert tickets, free rooms, free slot play, points and more!
The Star of the Desert Arena features top-name entertainment throughout the year. Next up will be The Four Tops on April 16 and Rodney Carrington, April 29. Players who earn 5,000 points can receive one free concert ticket. Points must be earned Sunday to Saturday in the same week to qualify for a comp ticket.
