This July, the Las Vegas leg of the 5th Annual Grand Dragon Master Baccarat Championship kicks off at The Palazzo. The global championship spans Las Vegas Sands properties in Macao and Singapore as well, and features a total global prize pool worth $10,000,000.*

Baccarat enthusiasts are treated to the ultimate tournament experience during the Grand Dragon Master Baccarat Championship. Las Vegas players will compete for a portion of a prize pool worth close to $1.5 million over three tournaments - the $200,000 Golden Dragon Baccarat Tournament, the $250,000 Ruby Dragon Baccarat Tournament, and the invitation-only $1 Million Royal Dragon Baccarat Tournament - all culminating in the Global Final to be held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore in early 2017. All tournaments are subject to official rules.

The $200,000 Golden Dragon Baccarat Tournament takes place from July 22 through July 25 and July 29 through Aug. 1. This tournament features a $25,000 daily prize pool comprised of cash and promotional chips.

All Grazie members receive one complimentary tournament entry per day and non-members can enroll in the Grazie Program and receive the free entry at time of sign up. Unlimited re-buys can be purchased for $50 each. Throughout the 8-day tournament, the top three daily winners will automatically advance to the Semi-finals of the Ruby Dragon Baccarat Tournament.

The Ruby Dragon Baccarat Tournament offers a $250,000 prize pool with a $50,000 daily prize pool comprised of cash and promotional chips. The Ruby Dragon Baccarat Tournament takes place Oct. 7 and 8. The top six finishers will receive one complimentary entry each to the Semi-final round of the invite-only $1 Million Royal Dragon Baccarat Tournament on Nov. 5.

In addition to sharing in a $1,000,000 promotional chip prize pool, the top three finishers in the invitation-only Royal Dragon Baccarat Tournament will receive one complimentary entry to the Semi-final round of the approximately $4 million prize pool Global Final tournament at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore in early 2017. Each advancer to the Global Final will receive round-trip transportation to Singapore, accommodations at Marina Bay Sands, and food and beverage.

In 2015, the Grand Dragon Master Baccarat Tournament at The Venetian and The Palazzo had more than 2,000 participants. One Grazie member from Las Vegas played in the Golden, Ruby, and Royal tournaments and ultimately finished fifth in the Global Final in Singapore. In total, three Grazie members advanced to the Global Finals in Singapore and after totaling their winnings from all legs of the tournament won more than $750,000 combined.

The traditional table game of baccarat has taken on a new level of popularity with American audiences, so much so that The Venetian and The Palazzo have taken strides to make the game much more accessible to players with traditional tables available from only a $25 minimum bet, as well as the only Imperial Baccarat on the Strip - a live dealt $5 minimum baccarat played on an electronic betting terminal.
