Holidays are lighting up Downtown Vegas

The famous neon lights of the Viva Vision canopy will be complemented with a touch of holiday spirit as Fremont Street Experience holds its annual Grand Menorah Lighting on Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. and the yearly Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m.

Mayor Carolyn Goodman will light the Grand Menorah and a ceremony led by Rabbi Shea Harlig, director of Chabad of Southern Nevada, will welcome the holiday known as the Festival of Lights. The Grand Menorah will be on display at Fremont Street during the Hanukkah Season.

Goodman will be back to help Santa light Las Vegas’ official Christmas tree on Dec. 8. The 50-foot tree will be decked with festive decorations and shine brightly below the 12.5 million lights of the Viva Vision canopy. The official Las Vegas Christmas tree will be on display at the Experience through the holidays.

The M life Holiday Gift Shoppe promotion will take place at the Bellagio, Dec. 3-6. Eligible M life members receive one  Holiday Gift Shoppe Point for every one M life point earned between 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2015 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6 plus any Gift Points earned during promotional period.

Each participant’s available Gift Point balance will be confirmed in-person at the Holiday Gift Shoppe event check-in. Only the balance in Shoppe system will be honored. Gifts Points expire at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. Eligible M life members must be present to receive 

and redeem Gift Points, which are not transferable and have no cash value.

The points may be combined between two persons listed on an M life linked account. Holiday Gift Shoppe merchandise, gift cards, and/or freeplay may only be received by redeeming points in person at the shopping event and may not be purchased, in whole, with cash or any other form of payment. Shipping to addresses within the 50 United States and Canada is included.

Red Rock Resort and Green Valley Ranch’s annual Holiday Shop returns again from Dec. 4-13. Guests can earn points and redeem them for a variety of items during holiday shopping. Items range from baked good and chocolates to high-end electronics, jewelry and more.

Points earned are on a daily basis and merchandise is available for same day points. In addition to the merchandise guests receive they also keep their earned points. There is a limit of three Holiday Shop items per day.
