Established in 1931, Railroad Pass is the nation’s longest running casino. Joe DeSimone purchased the casino from MGM Resorts this past spring.
Located in Henderson on the way to Hoover Dam, the historic hotel and casino serves travelers and locals from nearby Boulder City and Las Vegas. Railroad Pass offers 120 spacious rooms and suites or you can leave your recreational vehicle and/or boat in the ample parking areas. The casino features penny slots, video poker and keno, and table games with $1 craps, $2 roulette, $5 blackjack, along with a sportsbook.
Members of Player’s Junction, the casino’s slot club, earn both comps and cashback in a dual system. $10 coin-in on all machines, including video poker, equals 1 point; 40 points equals $1 in cashback and about 7 points will earn you a “comp credit,” which can be used for food and rooms. The club is not set up for free slot play via downloads at the machines but cashback and comps are both good alternatives!
There are two upgraded tier levels, Prestige and Prestige Elite. Qualifying for these levels is based on your play and reviewed by the casino. Club card benefits include: special parking privileges, up to two free nights per visit (three for Elites), for up to a total of 12 nights per quarter (15 for Elites) without comp credits being deducted from your account; free cocktails for member and one guest at bars or in restaurants, signatory privileges for member and up to three guests at the Box Car Buffet, the Iron Rail Café and The Steakhouse at the Pass, 10% discount in the gift shop (20% for Elites) and invitations to special events, parties and promotions.
As a Prestige or Elite club member you can avoid waiting in line to get comps. Simply go to the outlet of your choice and sign your name.
Railroad Pass has three restaurants with a variety of tastes to satisfy your appetite. Iron Rail Café is open 24/7 and a great place to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The buffet features fresh salads, entrees and desserts. The elegant Steakhouse is a local’s treasure for steaks, seafood and pasta.
Railroad Pass offers 3x points on Tuesday, 2x on Friday and 2x on Wednesday for military with I.D. and player’s club card. Military must show your player’s card at Player’s Junction to receive the point multipliers.
With a player’s card, the Box Car Buffet offers senior’s 2-for-1 (paying cash) on Mondays, 2-for-1 (using comps) and 2-for-1 for all military paying cash on Wednesdays. Every Tuesday with your player’s card, you can dine in the café with a “whole meal deal,” including appetizer, dinner, and dessert for only 10 comp credits. The buffet is only 4 comp credits for seniors on Tuesday.
Thursday is “Card of the Day” for video poker players. Get a 100-coin bonus when you hit the four-of-a-kind card of the day with max coins in and verified by the slot department. Player’s Junction has all the details on promotions available at the club booth.
Railroad Pass is located at 2800 South Boulder Highway. Call 702-294-5000 for more information or visit them online at: www.railroadpass.com. You will also find coupons online and the ability to download win/loss statements and keep up with the casino’s latest promotions.
