Grocery slot points can be used at PT's

As a local, how many times have you heard a tourist exclaim, “Oh my gosh, they have slots in the grocery stores!”

Yep, it’s true – and they have their own slot club with benefits too! Checkout Rewards is yet another division of Golden Entertainment. They operate convenient gaming in a non-smoking environment at many of the neighborhood grocery stores throughout Nevada.

Checkout Rewards can be found in Albertson’s, CVS, Smith’s, Vons, Safeway, Save Mart, Winco Foods and Haggen stores. One card serves over 140 locations and now your Checkout Rewards card can be used at all PT’s Entertainment Group locations operating PT’s Pubs, PT’s Gold, PT’s Place, Sierra Gold and Sean Patrick’s in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson.

The five tiers of Checkout Rewards (in order of lowest to highest) are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Royal and Royal Elite. Every $1 coin in equals 1 point. Every 2,000 points equals $1 free play. The point requirements for tiers are: Bronze – 0 to 14,999; Silver – 15,000 to 49,999; Gold – 50,000 to 99,999; Royal – 100,000 to 274,999 and Royal Elite – 275,000 and above. Tiers reset every quarter.

The five-tiered club rewards players with free slot play, gaming offers and point multiplier. Players can also earn comp dollars for food and beverages.

Periodically they do offer a new member sign-up bonus of earn 20 points get $10 in free play. Keep an eye open for signs in the stores.

One of the special features of Checkout Rewards is The Wheel bonusing system. Since most of the machines in these quaint slot parlors feature video poker, the promotion is based on hitting designed four-of-a-kinds.

Any guest playing carded with a minimum $1 bet in any of the Southern 68 Grocery Store locations in the Las Vegas area who hit a designated Card of the Day will get the chance to spin the wheel for a shot to win up to $1,000. Sunday through Thursday features three Cards of the Day each day and Friday and Saturday feature two. There are numerous other prizes on the wheel too.

Another feature of Checkout Rewards is the reset on many royal flush progressives starts out at $6,000, rather than the usual $4,000. Look for these special machines in select locations around the valley.
