We were excited to hear that as of Nov. 1 Station Casinos has expanded their Boarding Pass card into My Rewards, which awards points and status credits on nearly everything there is to do at any of the 20 Station properties, including their latest addition, the Palms Casino Resort.

This excites us because, truthfully, we are not that big a gambler and points add up extremely slowly on any player card we own. However, we do enjoy many of the other amenities at casinos, especially the restaurants, and will now be able to earn points doing what we love – eating!

In addition to being able to rack up points just for satisfying your appetite at any of their great restaurants or enjoying a drink at the bar, you can also earn points while bowling, ice skating or relaxing at the spa. Hotel stays, pool/cabana visits, catering and concerts also earn points.

Of course you will continue to earn points and status credits for playing slots, video poker, keno, bingo and poker or by placing race or sports wagers, and rewards for playing table games expands from offering status credit to also include earning points. Plus, if you download the STN mobile app you will get exclusive offers.

My Rewards will also invite top tier card holders to redeem their points to enjoy experiences and upgrades money can’t buy such as access to VIP suites, discounted hotel and dining packages, pre-sale or all-access passes to concerts, exclusive tastemaker dinners and new menu tastings, private parties, salon makeovers and more.

In celebration of the new My Rewards, Station is having a “10 Million Points for Everything” giveaway now through Dec. 31. You could be one of ten random winners selected to win one million points.

As always, you can redeem earned points for cash back, free slot play, hotel rooms, dining, entertainment venues such as bowling and movies and more. To get all the details stop at any Boarding Pass rewards center or kiosk, or visit

NEW AGE: A new era of gaming is upon us. GameCo launched the first skill-based video game gambling machines at Caesars Entertainment’s Atlantic City properties last week. The game, titled “Danger Arena,” is a first-person action video game in which player skill determines the payout.

The three properties – Harrah’s Resort, Caesars and Bally’s Wild Wild West – feature 21 gaming positions in high traffic, prominent locations.

More of this type of game is sure to starting popping up in casinos in AC, Las Vegas and around the country as properties ramp up their efforts to attract those elusive Millennials.

IT’S A FACT: Nearly half of Americans approve of legalized sports betting, according to a recent Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind poll. The information may come in handy to the state of New Jersey as it continues its pursuit to offer legal sports wagering. The on-going, years long battle with the federal government has been frustrating and so far a losing cause. Currently the Garden State is waiting to hear if the U.S. Supreme Court will hear its case.

THANK YOU: This Friday is Veterans Day, a time to honor members of the military, past and present, who step up to the plate to serve their country. We want to thank you, each and every one, for being there. Without you we most certainly would not be the “land of the free.”

See you around town.
