A native of Western New York State, Eileen Di Rocco grew up in the Buffalo area, where she attended State University of New York, eventually earning her degree in computer studies. In the early 1970s she, along with Chuck Di Rocco, founded and published Post Time, a publication that covered the harness racing industry in the Midwest and Northeast, then the Sports Form, which expanded to include thoroughbred horse racing and sports wagering.
In 1976, Chuck and Eileen relocated to Las Vegas, where they began publishing a Nevada version of Sports Form. In 1993, the publication was re-named GamingToday and the scope of its coverage was broadened to include the fast-growing casino industry in Nevada, the state's legal race and sports betting, as well as gaming venues and jurisdictions that began to find acceptance throughout the country.
In 2010, GamingToday is in its 34th consecutive year of publication and its recently-expanded website, gamingtoday.com, has begun to reach audiences never before imagined with the print edition. The newspaper's parent company, Dirson Enterprises, is a stand-alone off-set print shop and currently prints the majority of parlay cards for Nevada's approximately 80 race and sports books.
