Who is Monti Rock III? Monti Rock III – AKA Disco Tex and the Sex-o-lettes – iconic, legendary, unpredictable, and also a legend in his own mind – an enigma – indefinable – with the media having a field day rediscovering Monti Rock III (see Vanity Fair – December 2009 and February 2010).
Vanity Fair refers to Mr. Rock as one of the architects of the 1960’s, but the little known fact is that Monti Rock was THE hairstylist and creator of the blunt cut that has remained in vogue for all these years! His hairstyles appeared on the greatest models and magazine covers of the 1960’s.
His television appearances from that era was topped by his multitude of appearances on Johnny Carson's "The Tonight Show" (a total of 84 times!!!!) and you would never forget his appearance in the cult classic film, "Saturday Night Fever."
What we would like the world to know is that Monti Rock III has now become one of the most respected columnists in the nation. He is still an entertainer who performs at concerts as Disco Tex - everywhere from Atlantic City and New York City to the west coast since the baby boomer disco generation is now clamoring to see him again and return to their youth.
Now – the newest Monti Rock III – the very Reverend Monti Rock III – officiates at wedding nuptials.
He has developed his new advertising company – and he is in the process of creating his television show, which will be shown on the Internet. He has built quite a following on YouTube. Producers have been banging down his door for his services. Mr. Rock is very protective of his own brand, which is his life.
If you see Monti around town – well, how can you ever miss him??– with his leopard wrapped car and his leopard and wildlife couturier ensembles which create a sensation that cannot be put into words – it is an entire visual impact. He is a true supporter of the World Wildlife Fund (only wears fine, false furs – protecting those magnificent creatures – remember that all who support PETA).
Now, Mr. Rock is involved in a new recording studio venture, this is one for the ages! Produced by Platinum Rock, his brother, who has recorded Monti for the past 20 years, he is now focusing on Latin dance rap. This time he is not using a pseudonym – he will be billed as Sir Monti Rock III from the Bronx, N.Y. – so, welcome home, Joseph Moses Montanez, Jr. – have you missed me?? This time you cannot!
For all my fans, supporters and the media, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness.
Again, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You –
With all my blessings,
Monti Rock III

The Full Monti | It’s December! The month of joy and reflections of the year past. This year seemed to go so fast it was a blur. There were fabulous times and times of tragedy. But through it all, Las Vegas still is the fun capital of the world!view
The Full Monti | The shows in town this past week were certainly not turkeys! Cher – my divine, cherished Cher – at Park Theater in the Monte Carlo was as devastating as ever. Her mere presence is a show in itself. Her voice is still as beautiful as her face and body.view
The Full Monti | Frankie Scinta is a trooper showman! He performed at the Vegas Cares charity show at The Venetian on Nov. 5, even though his brother Joey had suffered a debilitating stroke the night before. Sadly, Joey did not recover and passed away Friday, Nov. 17.view
The Full Monti | It’s only human to absolutely adore Human Nature! They are hot, they are now, and they are solid gold! I got to see one of their Jukebox performances last week and they wowed me once again, singing a great range of pop songs.view
The Full Monti | I am overcome by the incredible. Yes, he’s still standing. Yes, he’s still playing and singing. Yes, he’s still the consummate and unparalleled Rocket Man himself, Sir Elton John. The performance I had the great pleasure to experience last Friday night at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace was perhaps the best show I ever experienced in Las Vegas!view
