OAK TREE at SANTA ANITA
ABALANCHE: Ran a winning race off the layoff but was nipped on the line by a nostril, no mistakes next time with this race under his belt.
YODELADY O: Was trying the grass for the first time and ran with a lot of heart despite being bumped hard on the hill and forced five wide, look for a move back to the pro-ride and a winning effort.
SANTURN MOON: Jockey Rosario had this girl all over the course but she still ran on losing by less than a length while almost three clear of the rest, she will be a good single next time out. $$$$$
DEVINE ACTRESS: First time starter was well bet and ran to the money as she made a big wide run into the stretch and was gaining on the winner with every stride, she won’t be a maiden for long.
CRÈME DELA SUANCES: First time starter broke slow and never really got untracked finishing fourth, she has win early breeding and will go much better in start #2.
SUNNY PEACE: Is in top form and really ran a boomer in this 10k claimer, she was claimed by trainer Gary Stute who should get a quick return on his investment.
ROYAL F J: Had to settle for second once again on the grass as he just could not run down the lone speed, all this guy needs is some pace next time out and you will see him in the winners circle.
SHESGOINGHOLLYWOOD: First time starter out of the top barn of Steven Miyadi was somehow let go at 30/1, she raced up close early but was taken back, she then made a wide move and just surged home for the win. I really like takeing a shot with these big payoff horses when they come back as sometimes they will be overlooked again. This one could be a real good bet if she shows up in a claim proof starter race.
DANCIN CANDY: Just had a horrible trip as he was making what looked to be a winning move on the inside but was boxed nearing the half mile pole, he remained hemmed in but got out late and it was just too late, next time and the price will be right.
ALASHIR’S STORM: Was let go at 33-1 and was best but had to be checked hard when looking for room while caught behind a wall of horses, he got through but had to settle for second money.
SUPERSECRETDEVICE: Looked good winning this flat mile, he loves this course and could move up and repeat off the Pederson claim.
KRISTEN’S LIL LADY: Tried to rally wide into the second turn but was blocked and forced to check hard and was under a hold to mid turn when she found room and with a burst of speed she zoomed to the front and stormed home for the win.
