SANTA ANITA

HIGH SUCCESS: Stalked the pace from the inside, came out leaving the turn for clear sailing while well in hand, he surged to the front and won under a hold.

EVITA ARGENTINA: Came from last to first in the Grade 1 La Brea and just exploded down the lane to win going away. You may want to go out and look for some futures on this girl. I know that Wynn has them up.

CARACORTADO: Kept his undefeated streak alive with a resounding win, trainer Machowsky looks to have a real runner in this 2 yo colt, more future shopping.

THE TOWN LADY: Jockey Chantal Sutherland is back in town and believe me she can ride with the best of them, she rode this girl perfectly and won going away. Especially give Chantal a big look when she is riding for Barry Abrams.

HOCKLEY: Huge effort when running second to the highly respected Ace Of Aces as he ran his heart out finishing second in his first start here since arriving from Keeneland, no mistakes for this guy next time out going long on the grass. $$$$$

THUNDER BLUFF: Ran a very good race despite the long layoff, this guy has some talent and should be ready to roll in his next start for trainer Ron Ellis.

KID EDWARD: You have to take notice when they pound these horses early and they did not attempt to hide anything with this guy as he was 8-1 on the morning line but the first flash he was 4-5 and won like a good horse should beating a very good group of straight maiden turf horses. This one looks like another up and coming turf router for trainer Cassidy. $$$$$

PIOUS DAVID: Was last seen running third at Del Mar in July, he made a big late run to just miss and looks set for the maiden breaker next time out and he could be a very good single in the picks. $$$$$

GOLDEN GATE FIELDS

HEARTS ABLAZIN: Just could not handle the odds on Lightnin’ Up but was five lengths clear of the rest of the field, he will get his maiden breaker next time out.

ISABELQA: Was 5-1 on the morning line but got bet down to 9-5 at post and won for fun, look for the move up and another trip to the winners’ circle.

BOOT N IT: Looked to be making a big run but was crowded in upper stretch and had to check hard but got going again and was coming back on.

GOODBYE GOODMAN: First time starter broke a step slow and had to be rushed up to contention but got caught in tight when down on the rail and was steadied back several positions: he re-rallied into the stretch and split horses late picking up the place money losing by less than a length in what was a super effort. $$$$$

TITUS PULO: Was coming off a long layoff but battled tooth and nail the entire 11/16 on the grass losing by slim neck while trying to come back while down on the rail, look for him in the winners’ circle in his next start going long on the Golden Gate grass.
