Race 1

No. 2 The Town Lady is wheeled back in just seven days by trainer Abrams and he puts her back on the main and stretches her back out to the distance of her maiden breaker on this track on opening day. No. 6 Elmer N Mort was exiting our HTW list last time out and won at 5/1, he may have a little advantage over the 4yo filly The Town Lady. 2-6

Race 2

No. 5 Speedy Cleaners is dropped to the bottom of the claiming ranks and gets off the grass, she will be very tough in this much easier spot. No. 6 Lucy Got Lucky is an 11-time loser but she does have six seconds and gets her second start off the Julio Canani claim. 5-6

Race 3

No. 1 Red Alarm gets the hot riding Victor Espinoza who looks like his old self and riding very motivated, he will sit back with Red Alarm and try and gun them down in the stretch. No. 2 Recess is wheeled back in just seven days by trainer Doug O’Neill, No. 4 Paloma’s Flight may find the pace to her liking. 1-2-4

No. 5 Mama Rosa will get a great pace to set up her late run, we will single her in the early pick four and bet her on the win end. 5

No. 3 Bad Boy is a distance specialist with three wins a second and a third from five starts at this 6½ furlong distance. No. 4 Nitro Active drops and gets a turn back in distance, he has two wins from four starts here at Santa Anita, No. 5 Cardinal Zin will be putting in a wide late run. 3-4-5

We will key No. 6 Lady Alex who exits our HTW list, she won her only try on this turf course and the flat mile looks right up her alley. We will use No. 2 Powerofvoodoo, No. 3 Party With Brando and No. 8 Samantha’s Rule. 6 with 2-3-8

No. 3 Jeranimo was once thought of as a Kentucky Derby contender but may have been put over his head too early and then they tossed him to the wolves in the GR 1 Malibu, he could get back on track with these. No. 4 Total Bull is a late bloomer for trainer Bob Baffert, he made his first start Nov. 1 of '09 and was bet like a winner and won like the money showed. 3-4

Race 8

Trainer Abrams looks to have a solid entry with No. 1 Unknown Heat the speedball and No. 1A Spanish Bunny who will sit right off the pace. No. 4 Tizzy Retsina will be the one to fear late. 1-4
