Race 1

No. 2 Songfoya is a live first time starter with the hot Victor Espinoza riding. No. 6 Royce will get a great trip from his outside post and should improve big time off his first start. 2-6

Race 2

No. 2 Aprisa Luna exits our HTW list, she will try the downhill turf course for this her second start but should take to it like a duck to water. No. 7 Miss Pleasant exits a big key race and Espinoza sticks, the turn back in distance can only help. No. 9 Khendum also exits our HTW list and he exits a key race. 2-7-9

Race 3

The Grade III San Rafael Stakes with a 100k purse could only attract five and two are trained by John Sadler; we will go with No. 1 Cardiff Giant and No. 3 Conveyance. 1-3

Race 4

No. 4 Changing has been right here in his last two efforts, No. 5 Heroi Do Bafra is dropped like a hot potato by Mitchell but he wins with this move so often we will string along, No. 7 Lardog is a contender with the jockey switch. 4-5-7

Race 5

At least we get six fillies in the Grade 2 Santa Ynez with a purse of 150k, No. 1 Seriously and No. 4 Amen Hallelujah look best. 1-4

Race 6

No. 8 Skellytown is back in town for trainer Richard Mandella and looks to be spotted for action. 8

Race 7

In the Grade 2 San Fernando we will go looking for a price and use No. 3 Rendezvous, No. 5 Mr. Hot Stuff and No. 6 Mystical Power. 3-5-6

Race 8

No. 7 Surfer Girl ran super on this 6½ downhill turf course last March, No. 8 Connie The Queen is in from Canada and will offer some good value. 7-8

No. 1 Skylights looks very live at first asking for trainer John Sadler, No. 3 Glory Forever gets a turn back in distance and Bejarano will be gunning this filly from the opening bell. 1-3

Race 1

No. 5 Fu Peg He Rat ships in and finds a nice spot to get that elusive second win; we will single him in the early pick four. 5

Race 2

No. 1 Picturehouse will show all of his speed on the stretchout, No. 7 Oh How Nice will be the one trying to run down Picturehouse. 1-7

Race 3

No. 4 Five Silver Stars was last seen winning by 10 in her first start at Pimlico, shows up here in the Jerry Hollendorfer barn and R Baze says he will ride. 4

No. 4 Bev’s Ex ships in and takes the big plunge to the bottom, No. 6 Joy Of Six is a great hunch play, No. 8 Jo’s Wild Abandon will offer a big price. 4-6-8

There is very little early pace in this race, No. 5 Smart Demand may show speed with the drop in class, No. 7 Six Pack Man should be right up close and No. 10 Two Turn General also has some good stalking speed. 5-7-10

No. 1 Solo Flash only needs to run his last race and he will be right there, No. 12 Who’s Your Papa looks live at first asking for the hot Steve Sherman. 1-12

Race 8

The California Derby 100K features No. 2 Connemara who exits our HTW list, he closed into a paceless race in his last win at Oak Tree and looks set to make another step forward to get a shot at Kentucky on the first Saturday in May. 2
