Opening day at Del Mar and they have their usual start here going a flat mile as the fans will be roaring when the horses past the grandstand. We have one of our favorite plays to start off the meet as trainer Mike Mitchell drops No. 2 Skellytown below his original claimed price of 25k. Mike almost pulled off a Grade 2 win first off the claim and now he drops this one in for 16k, beat him to cash. No. 7 North Fork is two for two her at Del Mar and could live off the layoff. 2-7

Trainer A C Avila usually has a good meet here, if able check and see if No. 6 Carbon Footprint gets any early money if so wait and see if his odds creep back up and than take your shot. 6

No. 1 Sky Marni is another A C Avila trainee and we will use the same tactics as race two, No. 2 Squeeze Me Tight exits our HTW list and gets her first start off the Mike Mitchell claim. 1-2

In this straight maiden race for fillies and mares trainer Bob Baffert sends out two to the post, No. 3 Mama Bouche who showed good speed in her one and only and No. 5 Go ON Babe a first time starter with Garcia in the irons. No. 10 Wooden Sky may be the one to fear late with Rosario taking over the ride. 3-5-10

In the 100k Oceanside we will use three in the late pick four and late pick three, No. 3 Twirling Candy who has won both of his starts to date but now gets the acid test, No. 5 Hockley who looks to be really putting it together and No. 6 Macias who has the Baffert/Garcia connections. 3-5-6

Race 9

 

 

No. 3 Total Sum gets his second start off the layoff and looks set for his best with Bejarano riding, No. 5 Lucky Fitz will be the one that will be coming late, No. 10 The Whammer has big early speed and ran good on this track last year. 3-5-10
