Race 1

With all the rain and the new dirt track you will need to tread very carefully today. Look for horses with good works on the track and watch how the early races are run. In here No. 5 Streets Of Heaven is in top form and won on the dirt at Fairplex. No. 7 Capture The Call went back to back on the Pleasanton dirt course and P Val rides this 5yo gelding in this his second off the layoff. 5-7

Race 2

No. 1 Rockin Harbor looks like he is set for his best and Bejarano sticks with this 2yo gelding in this his third lifetime start and he worked over the track. No. 6 Swiss Hero has had his chances but a new surface just may be the answer with Mike Smith riding. No. 9 Ultimate Question just may wake up at a price in this spot. 1-6-9

Race 3

These selections are for the turf only. No. 1 Jones Brother is in from Florida for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer where he broke his maiden on the grass, No. 11 Take A Hard Look gets his first start off the O’Neill claim and he stretches him out and puts him on the grass two good moves. No. 10 Valley Cat just did miss at this flat mile distance on the grass in his last start at Hollywood. 1-10-11

Race 4

No. 5 Cook Inlet is a first time starter for John Sadler with Gomez taking the mount and his dam has dropped four winners from four starters including a stakes winner. No. 9 The Factor exits our HTW list and looks set for his diploma. No. 10 Houston Harbor is in from Churchill Downs for top trainer Steven Asmussen and he ran good on the CD dirt in his one and only. 5-9-10

Race 5

We like top and bottom in this race, No. 1 Contemplated who get Rosario back in the irons and he was on for the maiden breaker and No. 9 Arresting Officer who comes off the impressive maiden breaker at first asking when sent off at even money and winning by more than five lengths for trainer Mike Mitchell. 1-9

Race 6

In the Grade 1 LaBrea Stakes for 3yo fillies No. 3 Switch who ran good on the CD dirt in the BC filly and mare sprint looks like a solid play today from off the pace in a field loaded with early speed, we will key on her using No. 9 Always A Princess who has won on the dirt and she has a very solid work over the course and No. 11 Champagne D’oro a well traveled filly with fourteen starts. 3-9-11

Race 7

In the Grade 2 Sir Beaufort Stakes going a flat mile on the grass we will go with No. 4 Sebastian Flyte who exits our HTW list off a tough loss in the Hollywood Derby, a race in which he may have been best. 4

Race 8

In the Grade 1 Malibu Stakes trainer Steven Assmussen sends out No. 3 Thiskyhasnolimit who won at this 7 furlong distance at Churchill Downs and Gomez says he will ride. No. 4 Caracortado exits our HTW list off a solid prop on the grass, he will be flying late. 3-4

Race 9

We will go four deep in the last race if playing the late pick four as we will use No. 4 Swiss Emperor who has a good work over the track, No. 6 Gifted Student who gets a major rider upgrade, No. 7 Johnnie Gold who has some good long shot appeal and No. 11 Wanna Chat the speed from the outside. 4-6-7-11
