The operators of Connecticut's two casinos say their slot machine revenue continued its slide in December compared with the same month in 2008.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, which runs Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods, reported Friday that its December slot revenue was $44.6 million. That's down from $44.9 million in December 2008.

The dip at Mohegan Sun, run by the Mohegan tribe, was more noticeable: It took in $57.1 million last month, compared with $63.1 million in December 2008.

The tribes pay the state 25 percent of their slot machine revenues every month under their gaming compacts. The Mashantucket Pequots gave the state $11.3 million and the Mohegans gave $14.3 million for December.
